Isaiah 41:10

Isaiah 41:10 says, ‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’  Those words were, of course, spoken to Israel but belong to every Christian as they have been grafted in to the people of God through faith in Jesus, Israel's Messiah-King; their Savior and Lord. If we have come to believe that we are sinners deserving death, that Jesus was sent as they atoning sacrifice for our sin, that He died to pay the price of death in our place, and that He was raised to new life so that through faith Him death will not have victory over us, then Isaiah 41:10 is a promise that God makes to us because Jesus is our Savior and Lord also.  Notice what God says to us through this verse:

Do not fear. Why should we not fear? Do not fear, for I am with you. God the Holy Spirit dwells within us, and because He does, we should not fear. He is with us!

Do not anxiously look about you. Why should we not be anxious? Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. God is ever-present and almighty and, through faith in Christ, He is our God! His constant presence and unlimited power is the end of our anxiety.

I will strengthen you, surely I will help you. How will He strengthen and help us? I will strengthen you, surely I will help you. Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Though this may sound too good to be true, it is absolutely true because God has promised it and He is perfectly righteous!

This may be a verse that we have to go back to over and over again in the days ahead, but every time we do so it will be always and absolutely true. God is with us; He is our God; He will strengthen and help us. Guaranteed.
